Anders Bäckström
Professor emeritus in the Sociology of Religion, Uppsala University. He has directed several major research projects, including the EU FP6 project Welfare and Values in Europe; Transitions related to Religion, Minorities and Gender; and established in 2008 the Uppsala Religion and Society Research Centre with its 10-year research Program: The Impact of Religion: Challenges for Society, Law and Democracy.
Peter Scholten
Professor in Migration and Diversity Policy at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Prof. Scholten is also director of IMISCOE, Europe’s largest academic research network in the field of migration, integration and social cohesion. Furthermore, he is editor in chief of the journal Comparative Migration Studies and coordinator of the international MSc. program Governance of Migration & Diversity
Murat Somer
Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Koç University. His research on democratization, polarization, ethnic conflicts, religious and secular politics have been published in books, book volumes and journals such as Comparative Political Studies. He held visiting fellowships at universities such as Princeton and Harvard and won awards such as the Sedat Simavi Social Sciences Prize. Somer is a frequent contributor to Turkish and international media about current world affairs.
Daniel Tarschys
Prof. emeritus in Political Science, Stockholm University. He has been a Member of the Swedish Parliament, State Secretary, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Chair of Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (The Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences), and Vice-President of the International Political Science Association (IPSA). Current research interest include European affairs, public policy, rule of law, administration, and comparative government.

She is a Speciality Chief Editor for Medical Sociology at the open access Frontiers journal and a contributing editor for The Cost of Living. Together with Professor Sandra Torres, Hannah leads a Research Group on Welfare and Lifecourse.

This report explores the experiences of Syrian migrants in Sweden in the areas of border crossings, refugee protection, reception, integration, and their psychological health conditions. The survey was conducted in Sweden between June 2019 and May 2020 and focuses on Syrian migrants, aged 18 years or older, arriving in Sweden in 2011 and upward.
